VX-38 AND VX-68 MOD

1.. FIND J28. MOVE JUMPER PINS FROM 1-2 TO 2-3.

2.. FIND J4. UNPLUG AND PLUG INTO J2

3.. ON THE BAND SELECTOR, THERE IS A WHITE, RED, AND BLACK WIRE. REMOVE

THE WHITE WIRE THAT IS SOLDERED TO THE RED WIRE AND SOLDER THE WHITE AND

BLACK WIRES TOGETHER.

4.. THE HI/LOW TONE SWITCH NOW BECOMES THE HI/LOW BAND SWITCH.

I need to know how to fully convert this radio to 11 meters. I have moved the 3 pin wire plug to the right socket in the front of the radio & moved the jumper over as needed. There is something else that still needs to be done. Radio has no resistor on top of board to remove as you would a Ranger 6300 or 6900. There has to be a wire that has to be moved. I need to know asap. Please do not respond unless you know exactly what i'm talking about. Thanks

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
