Want to learn about Amps

I've got a Cobra 25 GTL (Peaked, Tuned, Swing Mod) and a Wilson 1000 antenna...

I have gotten out approx 15 miles with that setup pretty clearly but would like to get out further without hurting my radio...What do you guys suggest for a reasonable price? I don't know much at all about AMPs so any help is greatly appreciated!

Sorry...the Antenna is a Wilson 1000 with the 62.5" steel whip...the vehicle is a 1997 F-250HD 4x4 7.3L Powerstroke

The antenna is mounted on the bed rail about 1.5' from the cab on the driver side

Just contact Adam of AMPOWER amps...he has a link here on the forum... "AMPOWER AMPS".....he can fix you up with a good amp that will do wonders for your cb....
