I'm looking to purchase a Ranger RCI 2950DX with e-chip and perhaps other mods already installed.

Any suggestions on a reliable dealer?

Thanks,
Alan

gijoeselectronics.com has a wide selection and they come with the e chip in the box . real easy to plug in yourself .

recieved my 2970n2 from there and was extremly pleased with product as well as packaging .

hope this helps

I second GIJoes...

I purchased my 2950dx in the late 90's and it's still going strong. My e-chip was installed when I received the pkg. I have made purchases thru them since and have been pleasaed with their service.

What ever you do, buy from a trusted shop that does good tech work. The only way I would go cheap at Crapper or H&Y would be if you have a good local tech on hand. That said some good shops are. (in no order)

1) Doug at Custom CB Radio

2) Bob's CB in PA

3) DTB Radio (and a forum member)

4) Key CB in Michigan

5) Richard at 8541 Electronics

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes

Wes, it's better if you start a thread on the main forum, more people are going to see your question.
  • @ heartbreaker3473:
