The guys over at Ham Radio Deluxe have developed a way to control your rig from a browser. This is unofficial software, but I downloaded it tonight, followed the instructions, and it actually works!!!

You can also find out more info about on their forums. After I installed this, I as able to control my rig using my Palm Pre! Unfortunately Skype isn't supported yet for the Pre so I couldn't actually talk, but if you have an Iphone or Windows Mobile device, it will work. Now you can use your smartphone to talk over your ham radio from just about anywhere. Pretty ingenious!
