Only slightly illegal in the US. German guy hacked up a hardware and software interface for his Albrecht AE-5900. Now he can use the radio via web browser. This could probably be adapted to other radios.

Nice! That's something I've been thinking about as well. I always thought it would be cool to have a radio up on top of some hill or mountain and be able to control and operate it through a browser.
Especially now that we're on the downslope of the solar cycle I'm thinking of ways to boost my local signal........and a remote mountaintop radio setup would be all kinds of fun!

Hi everyone.

I've noticed that the project is being copied more and more internationally. Therefore, I've now added the country codes.

Updates from the last few days:

Update v-210626 i6/a9 BPLC

1. All country codes added.
2. Bug fixes for users with firmware 1.12

Country codes must be configured on the radio and in the web interface.

The HF/VFO is just a placeholder for future updates.

The 4th row of buttons can be swapped as desired.
The P1-P4 buttons of the AMM-500 multifunction microphone are available.
Alternatively, terminal command buttons for reboot, update, and antenna switching provide direct access to the host system's terminal.
Or, four audio buttons: REC/RPLAY to send recorded audio feedback to your QSO partner, and CQ REC/CQ CALL to save and retransmit your own CQ call.

A complete translation will follow.
