Here's a weird problem I looked at for a friend last night. He recently purchased a used Icom 706MKii off of eham for a fair price and brought it over to me to be checked out. The radio had a few issues, most of which are correctable. However, I found the strangest problem on this rig: The display and function of the digital SWR and Power meter was exactly reversed. When you select the Power function, it would display SWR reading and when you select SWR function, it would display the Power output. The meter scale and indicator on the screen was correct, but the meter function was reversed. How odd is that?
