I also have 4Trams, one D201, and 3 D201A's and one 201 that is strictly a parts radio for the other ones. Had them checked out and gone through by Maycom in Michigan. They did a good job on them. Had to replace a couple of parts and a few tubes, but thats all. They work great. Hoosier

RCI 2990DX, Tram D201A, Yaesu 757gx, Maco v5000, 4el Yagi, Exp 14 triband Yagi, Yaesu FT5100 dual band mobile, dual band omni.

I like D201s also. The only one I have right now is a parts radio that I am considering putting a Cobra 8719 chassis in.Have the cabinet shop build a nice cabinet for it.I would just redo the ends but the top and bottom cover are missing so I will just have them make a complete wooden cabinet for it.Should look pretty good.

If you decide to get rid of one of your D201As let me know.I would like to get another one.73s

Yes I did and the Dak IX is still working great Roger

There are a few guys in my area that have the Dak X and seem to have problems with them. The Dak IX seems to be the better of the two!

The tube could be #V402
That is a 12AX7, but first what are the symptoms .... what is the radio doing?

Also if you have replaced other tubes, like V401 or V602 you will have to re-zero the S-meter
If you replace V300 you will need to re-calibrate the S meter.

There are other tubes that can effect the S meter.
