I found an Ameritron AL-811 amplifier for $350. I am not keen on amps as 100 watts HF is plenty to work the world, but I

KNOW the original owner personally and this thing is mint. Not a scratch; looks brand new. Shines like a new penny!

So I think I will "bite". I hate to see good equipment go to waste . I don't need it, but, hey, you only live once!

The only thing I am afraid of is it might get into my Satellite

dish and tear up something. Dish Network won't cover it if I blow up my receiver with 600 watts!

Well a blown LNB or RX could be caused by almost anything including faulty parts.

I have an Ameritron AL-800H. I have DirecTV, and my inverted V dipole is right over the dish. Never had one problem. The DirecTV stuff is all a digital feed, so you probably won't hurt anything. I found most of my TVI was coming into the TV through the power, with some on the shield of the coax. Took care of that and the TV is happy. DirecTV receiver or LNB's never even blink. I am able to reboot the DSL modem while on 75 meter's though

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
