Are these surface mount now or are they the same as they once were with the same/similar schematic? I might be going through one soon so I am curious.

What is inside the new Cobra29LTD w/NW radios?

I don't believe that they have gone surface mount yet. There is a way to look up the FCC certification that shows the insides, but I couldn't find it. Bells has a picture of the inside of a 29 ltd chrome.

It is still through hole design just like the LTD Classic and Chrome. All am/fm now.
The LX was surface. Then they did runs of through hole and I think they’re back to surface so I’m not selling them. Just poor reports from customers. It appears inevitable, however.
