This is the Feed point for my 2 meter quad. Seller hasn't returned my message.
This shrink tubing is sticking out. I want to waterproof the connection, but curious about this. It hollow and you can see some shiny wire or solder at the bottom. The surrounding area is epoxied.
Is this some sort of vent or plain excess. To properly waterproof, I need to trim it flush. I wouldn't think it'd be an issue to completely seal the entire connection. There's no mention in the construction. I started to seal the flange on the SO239 with Scotch 33.
