LSB above channel 40 ...27.385 mostly.
AM below channel 1 ... 26.955 lotsa good folks there.

Local rag chewing AM.
Local rag chewing and Continental US skip on single Side Band it's definitely LSB.
Contacts made outside of the US, Europe, Asia etc etc USB.
Sorry I couldn't give you an exact answer to your question as LSB, USB, and a.m. all have their different purposes, and I use and the joy all of them equally. PS except for when there is no skip coming in from outside the US. If that's the case I rarely operate on USB.
