Where to get light weight spring / whip base?

I need a real light weight spring with a standard 3/8-24 base and top. Another alternative would be an integrated whip base and spring. All the regular springs I've come across so far are much too stiff for what I'm trying to do, so if someone knows where I can get something light weight, I'd appreciate it.
