looking to get a unit for a truck at work, and have decided on the unidens, 68 or 78. i like the elites but the ltw will be just fine. is there a better one to get, ive read the philippines is a good one which ones or years were made there or does it not matter. i'm no big trucker just need one to talk to a plant when i pull in and other drivers when on a job site but want a good setup

Most anything Uniden built is good. I assume your searching for a nice used radio, if you check into Cobra 25/29's skip anything that says Soundtracker.
