Thought I would assemble the Arrow 146 yagi this afternoon. Assembly was easy and straight forward, quality construction also. Not tuned yet.

The Diamond X50 on its temporary mast on the patio. Been doing some good listening just 8 ft off the ground.

And here is the old CB antenna which is coming down and being replaced with Amateur VHF/UHF antennas.

You're welcome anytime... You might be surprised what you hear with that yagi, you've got yourself a really decent start there.. You should be able to do pretty decent with that depending on terrain of course.. We get some out of state check ins from Clinton, IA, a few from Indiana, various areas of Wisconsin.. I don't know what city you're in, so it's kind of hard to tell lol... But you might be surprised, this repeater I mentioned before has really good "ears" lol

I went to the WX9MCS website and that is a beautiful antenna KC9SQR. I can see why it hears well. Once I get rolling I will try to listen for it. Thanks for your kind words and the welcome.

For your Kenwood mobile, go to this site:
SOFTWARE DOWNLOADS / Kenwood

If you can find the appropriate programming cable it makes it much easier to program than trying using the front panel controls...
