now i got wires x working ive gained a big problem
the radio ftm 200d is hooked with scu 56 cord to my pc. im using it as pdn. power at radio 5 watts out set via the manual.
when starting i get pc set to wires x then push n hold wx button and power on. bottom of screen flashes a bit then shows steady wire x pdn .its connected. ok im monitering kc wide. after 2 minutes fan comes on n it is warm.5 minutes its really warm. 8 minutes cant touch it. i shut wires x off let fan cool it off which it does very quickly.
im getting a steady 13.7 volts to radio.fuse holder is maybe 4 or 5 degrees above room temp. i go back over settings cant see whats out of setting.
called yaehoo service. as usual id been better off asking my dog,send er in we look at it. last radio they "looked at " said was fixed wasnt opened up but i got it stopped before it left n they ate crow. i asked how easy was it to remove screws tim asked why? i said you aint opened it up. he got it n said couple not bad but dammits n crap. i dabbed screws full finger nail polish. it got new finals put in after being there 6 weeks
hope somebody sheds some light on trouble. it works just fine on fm. 50 watts n gets just warm nuff to turn fan on and fan keeps it about that temp as its used
