Hello,I need a bit of help to wire a Shure CB44 to a Kenwood TS-520S. I opened up the mike, and the wiring is there, but the coating of the green and white wire have disintegrated, but I was able to still tell what is what color.I am told to use the green wire for the High Impedance to the Rig. As I look at the wires, the green and white wires mess together with a shield,on both wires,is this normal,or did the coating come off the wires,or is the shied to be with the wires?????
OK,now the 520S is a 4 pin plug,,I cannot understand how to wire in the 4 pin wires to the plug....I see the Red and Black, but I know which is Green and White, but they are messed together with some type of shielding wires, can any body let me know this is the way it is???? If so,,,how to I wire it to the 4 pin plug???? I know to use the Green wire, and put the White off to the side or tape it off,as the wires are in the mess of shielding wires,,I will put up a picture, and the cord itself seems to be rotting, old cord, cracking, but want to make sure this will work.Any ideas is appreciated in advance,,,Have a great day,,Hopefully this can be figured out,,or going in the trash.Mark B.....Cedar Lake,IN USA.....46303...KB9GTB NOTE,the GREEN WIRE is attached to the ground in the MIKE,grounds to the screw on the Mike casing..
In the Mike, the rewired it,there is red wires,I marked them with tape to tell the colors on the actual wires that were dissolved to nothing..
