This would not fly today. The core had the I beam only. You will notice no fire sprinkler heads do to it a pre 1974 building.

In LA we almost had I beam fail due to fire . If the southeast beam fail the building would landed on the fire command center. The building was adding fire sprinkler to floors when this happen.
