Hello.
I have this radio and i am wanting to use a panasonic toughbook cf-29 to program it.
I am having issues with setting up the USB cable so I can get the pc to talk with the radio.
If anyone can help please let me know.
USB port drivers are the pits. If the one you are using doesn't work, try different ones till you find one that does. From what I understand, there are no 'standardized' USB drivers.

Most USB drivers are generic. I use the Prolific drivers that I found online when I bought a programming cable for my Yaesu FT-8800R. They also work on the two KG-UVD2's that I just bought and already have a bunch of frequencies programmed in. USB drivers generally assign themselves to one port that you simple look up in your Device Manager.

Hey Paul.. didn't know you had one Well... anymore, who doesn't. Hopefully you got your issue squared away. I had a little trouble using Win7.. but when I got it ironed out, it works great. The latest drivers are a must.. especially if using Vista or Win7
Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
