WTB Magnum 257HP

Miss your trusty old 257HP eh?

I have a 257HP, like new, that was only pulled out for conversion and alignment with a like new matching RF Limited 2018 Extreme echo mic, all in original factory packaging. The 2018 mic is RF Limited factory modified in that it looses the 9V battery in favor of power that is supplied solely by the 257HP transceiver. They are a good sounding combo and you don't have to worry about ever replacing a battery again.

Only reason I didn't use them was the fact that I bought it to put in the wife's jeep but she respectfully (I mean forcefully) declined once she saw what the antenna was going to look like, so it was never installed.

I'd have to get $325 for both, plus shipping CONUS to let them out of the stable. I understand if you think the price for the pair is excessive but they are truly minty. If you're interested I can take some photos.

Hey, you can still get the Yeticom Optima for $275+ from overseas. Or, I see some beaters on the bay from time to time for around $200.

Yes BBB I miss it. One of the great mistakes in my life, right behind getting married.

I will consider your offer to sell even though it is a bit higher then I was hoping to spend. Thank you

I pulled it out of the box the other day just to make sure it's working properly. Everything is there and looks new from a non-smoking pet free environment.

I posted a question to the forum about the Talk Back that this last batch of 257HPs came with. It does indeed have talk back when the optional factory matching echo power mic is used. The question has yet to be answered about the adjustablity of the talk back volume though, so maybe the use of the optional factory echo mic is not very common. Of course, the factory power mic is included also. Thanks.
