Purchased April/May of 2013 directly from Ameritron. Meter lights have been replaced with led’s. The capacitors/bleeder resistors failed in Sept 2018 which is common for Ameritron amplifiers. They were replaced with the board developed by Jim/W7RY and Lou/W1QJ increasing capacity from 4200 (factory) to 5000 giving some head room. There are no boxes or manuals after all this time. Ten meter modification has been performed.

This is for pickup only. Come to my QTH and give it a spin or I can drive 2 hours from Pittsburgh, PA to met you.

Forty watts of drive on amateur bands SSB produces 1500 plus.

Works on 11 meters as well. Twenty (20) watts dead key (80 watts PEP)produces 750 watts and modulated 1500 plus PEP. No input SWR issues and virtually NO GRID CURRENT.

Parring down my equipment. This amplifier just doesn’t get much use and hasn’t over the years. This doesn’t have the Peter Dahl transformer. Non smoking environment.

Thanks for looking. Call, Text or email me. I’m good on QRZ

Asking $2000

Thanks
Brad

Additional Photos. The top two photos show 40 watts PEP SSB (first photo) producing over 1500 pep SSB (second photo) on 80 meters. Frequency was 3920

The third photo show 750 watts output with 20 watt dead key. The fourth photo shows 1500 watts output PEP with an input of 80 watts PEP.

AM/Ritty is brutal on any amp compared to SSB.

This amp produces power with a single 8877 ceramic tube.

All measurements taken into my Palstar 2.5 DL dummy load and measured on a Bird 43P (Factory PEP model). 11 meter frequency was 27.205 a.k.a. Channel 20
