I purchased a New XIEGU X6100 from RADIODDITY & it arrived with an issue. It was transmitting & receiving at the same time no matter what frequency I went to. I emailed them about it & they did not give much of a suggestion on what was wrong. After searching online, I found information saying I needed to upgrade the firmware, so a friend & I attempted to do that for over 3 hours. We used two different Micro SD Cards & they loaded the upgraded firmware each time. When we plugged the card into the radio per the instructions it would not load the new firmware into the radio. I once again contacted RADIODDITY & they told me the information on the web was Misinformation but made no suggestions of their own. They ask that I send them some pictures of the radio & they would send me shipping information so I may return the radio. After doing so they sent me an email with return instructions. The instructions were as follows: Ship the entire package to them in Las Vegas & the label stated that the reason for the return was because I Ordered the Wrong Item? I did not order the wrong item, but they refuse to accept Any Responsibility for the issue. Today they sent me an email saying that we were attempting to operate Out of Band. We were within the General Phone Band & they have No Idea where we were since they were not here. The radio is scheduled to arrive back to them Tomorrow so they no doubt will sell it to someone else As Is. The consumers end up stuck paying return postage for faulty radios, but they don't care. Just be aware that if you have any issues with their radios that YOU will foot the bill for the return postage because it will be 100% your fault & they will let you know that. I scratched out the reason for return as Purchased Wrong Item & wrote, returned due to Bad Firmware installed from the factory. It's the Truth even if they don't agree. I would never consider any other products from RADIODDITY at any price since I now know what a SCAM they are. The consumer is ALWAYS at FAULT because they are ALWAYS RIGHT. Just ask them. Purchase from them at your own risk. It shows why they don't have a Phone number that you may call & speak with Anyone about Anything just an email address that they reply to once a day so if you have further questions, it will be 24 hours before you get any reply. They just sweep the problems under the rug & move on to the next FOOL.

Radioddity sold the radio, they didn't make it. If you bought one of their radios they would have sent you a prepaid label.

Their customer service is excellent and I think the problem is you. Just about all of your posts are negative and condescending, in some way. You rarely have anything of value to post here if at all.

Clayton how can you make the statement that someone will have to pay 100% shipping when they sent you a return shipping label?
Some retail stores require that you send defective units back to the factory and will not even deal with warranty, it's a factory issue.
Years ago I bought a new Alinco HT and it died 4 days after I received it, I had to pay shipping to Alinco (not HRO were it was purchased) and they fixed it and paid return shipping.
I get that you're upset about the radio not working properly, but in the end they seem to be offering you warranty by taking the radio back.
And claiming that they will resale a known defective radio is a bit of a assumption on your part don't you think?

I would just love to hear their side of this. Why not try contacting the manufacturer for support, before you publicly SLANDER a *dealer*, that is well known and liked in this forum.

Your post is completely out of line.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
