I am the second owner, I purchased it from my Elmer who bought it new with the sideband filters installed. It was his pride and joy, he ran it faithfully until the internal power went out. He then ran it with an external power supply until he purchased a new FT-2000. It wasn't easy but I eventually was able to convince him to sell me the MP. When I got it I sent it to Byron Campbell (WA4GEG) to have the power supply rebuilt and have him go through it and be sure all was up to specs. The invoice is pictured so you can see the results. I really had intended to make this rig a keeper but you know how new projects come about and you sometimes go to the extreme to fund them!
