I was wondering if there is a alternative vfo that could be used in place of the YAESU FV-102DM? Like say a Siltronix Model 90? 73,
 

The FV-102 outputs 4.9-5.6 MHz. You would need some thing that output that frequency range and of similar level. Also IIRC the tuning is inverted meaning that as the VFO frequency goes UP the actual operating range goes DOWN. 4.9 MHz from the VFO would be 14.5 MHz while 5.6 MHz would be 13.9 MHz when on 20m for example.
 
Thank's for the explanation. Could you recommend a vfo that would work with the ft-102 Transceiver other then the fv-102? 73,
