Yaesu FT 767 GX problem

I was away the last week and when I got back, I don't seem to be able to transmit. The light lights up like it will transmit and I can hear myself with the moni feature through the speaker, but it doesn't register as putting out any power. I know that we had some severe thunderstorms when I was gone, so I am hoping maybe it is something stupid that I am missing and not that it took a strike through the electric lines because no antenna was attached. Any help is appreciated.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":(">

I wish I could help you guy. I have not had mine long enough to be able to guide anyone. All I can tell you is to make sure and go through and make sure every control is where it should be. Make sure the Processor is off if you are talking AM, make sure the antenna tuner is off, make sure mic and drive are all set correctly, other than that I do not know what yo say. Let me know what you find out though.

Top left knob switched to PO for the power reading? Watt meter test? Are you transmitting out of band on an unmodified rig? Have you checked your RF gain knob? Are you transmitting on a phone TX mode? How's your SWR? Bad impedance = reduced output. How's reception? If you're not hearing anything, you may have bumped your antenna switch in the back. Just some thoughts, hope you get it working.

I have good receive. I also have an oscilloscope hooked up out of the radio and nothing there on TX. I am sending the rig out today for repair.

Are you sending it to the guy in Georgia I told you about or someone else? Either way, let me know what and how it turns out guy.

Good Luck guy
