WOW, what a great DSP!

Makes the 817 an even better radio!

I just bought the radio and DSP from Gigaparts and had them send the radio to W4RT for the DSP install, same town, WOW, just WOW.

After I play some more I will make a better video, but listen to the 4 levels of DSP in this quick video

Sounds like it makes a huge improvement. How much does it affect the audio of the received speech?

The BHI DSP noise reductions are really good. I've tried most of the AF DSP NR products out there and this one is the real deal. That said, I've never owned a Yaesu FT817 with the BHI unit built-in, but if is as good as the external, in-line DSP units they make, it should work great.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
