My Ft-897d has a RX problem on VHF and UHF Also most no RX at all.. When listing to a repeather on a portable the signal is full scale.. on radio no signal at all or very weak TX on both bands is fine

HF is OK

A friend had the same problem with his 897. I think it was a ceramic filter that went bad. Do a google search on that issue.
