Yaesu ft897

I have a ft 897 Japanese version and would like to "expand" the transmit ...Can I just do the "Mars mod " or is there another way to expand the transmit??

The Japanese version converts differently due to different bands used especially on the VHF and UHF. I'm not 100% sure how the HF side of things works out.

Just make sure when you solder across those points that you have a very steady hand and don’t overdo it
