Don't panic! Yeah the price is very steep, but experience has shown that the price drops with time and demand. Look at it this way, even though we can't afford one now, this time before purchase will give them time to field test and work out any bugs. (or am I talking about Microsoft here?)

The link to Yaesu's specs show that it does crossband repeat. That info was not posted on the site when this thread started.

I agree 100%. With or without the crossband, who is going to spend that much money on a dual band mobile???? I sure miss the Knwd TM-V7A I had a few years back. Price was reasonable and it was VERY easy to use and wasn't loaded with 2000 functions that no one would/could ever use mobile. WTH is Yaesu thinking?

I wish they would market a mono band 20 meter mobile for under $400...I'd be 1st in line to buy one.
