Yaesu MD-100A8X

I have just gotten a second hand yaesu md-100 mic.
Works fine on my FT-991A, but when I connect it to my FT-3000, all front panel buttons stop responding.
Any Ideas ?

Does the FT-3000 have a hot pin for an electret mic?
