over bid on one of these and it arrived today. Forgive the terrible pictures but the antenna won't stay in. a look inside the antenna Port shows a ring on the inside with a small Gap but the antenna itself is smooth. When I opened the case I loosened the brass screw that holds down the antenna receptacle, push the antenna in and then tightened it down but still nothing. I'm wondering if I'm missing a piece and if the inside portion rotates along with the antenna maybe I could put some loctite around it to keep it in? Perhaps someone has had this same experience with this same radio so I'm reaching out onto the world wide webs.
This is not a conventional antenna in the sense that there isn't a tiny screw holding it down anywhere or at least one that I can see or have noticed.
