My journey started in late May of 2011 when I had the opportunity to take a 4 month trip to one of the Sovereign Base Areas (SBA) of Cyprus. The SBAs are politically separate areas of Cyprus controlled by the British and with a separate ITU prefix, ZC4. I made sure to pack my rig, which consisted of a Yaesu FT-817 transceiver, Buddistick portable antenna, LDG Z-817H antenna tuner, and a 9 Ah se...
