"In a nutshell" how difficult or involved was the mod you did to the d-104???
This is the first I've heard of this mod and it sounds interesting. I will Google for the exact particulars and proceed if it's not too very involved for a junior neophyte golden screwdriver. :wink:
Sometimes a mag mount antenna mounted on a kitchen sink/metal countertop or stove or even a refrigerator will work well in an indoor setting.

That Browning Brownie looks suspiciously like an old Boman CB-720 23 channel radio I have. That Boman is supposed to be identical internally to the old Tram XL mini 23 channel.
