Is it ok to put a Gain-Master on top off a 3 el yagi ? abaut 2,5 -3 meters above the yagi . Not shure if im right but i "heard" something reagarding Gain-Master dont "play" well near other antennas/metallobjects. 73:s Pjatt

Going for new antenna , looked 4 el PKW quad ,5el ZX yagi when the Maco Shooting Star showed up as a choise...or is it a choice ? Maco Antenna Specifications Im used to directional antennas but thought it could be nice to combine horizontal&vertical for a change,so i thought abaut Macos...

Reading did me good, but did not fix the problem :sad: but what VA3S wrote whas the couse to the issue,thanks for that and hope your headbanging didnt hurt you ;)...problem solved.

Done some reading and tryed dif settings in meny,but it still "beeps" ,when i push SSB/CW to show CWmode ot transmitts ??? and pushing button to show SSB it stops transmitting.

Nothing is attached to transmitter, power ,mic and antennacables,thats all...its a used one and i dont know whats been done to it,it just "beeps" no mather what buttons i push

Beep or a tone pick your choise but it starts sounding directly when radio is powered on :confused:,anyone know abaut this. regards Pjatt

Im abaut to buy a "used" RCI 2970Dx i thought abaut getting a Heilheadset to that radio,what of Heils headset should work on that radio??,connecting the headset is not the issue,its abaut what micelement to use. Using BM-10 whit my icom 735 and i just love the headset from Heil. 73:s

HEEELP !!!!!!! im getting :confused: thinking of putting up a 3 elt yagi whit hairpin matching,will a 38mm:s metalltube make the antenna work or will it interrupt the antennas performance ? Metaltube will end up in line whit driver and groundplane and im not sure its going to work. Im asking...

Well im going to follow your advise and putting it up whit no gpk,prio nr 1 is to get beam working well and A99 is just for "lokal chatts"...thanks for shearing your point of views :thumbup:

Is it wise to change the angle of the "groundplanes" on a A99 from its orginal angle to 90*,could it be a "smart way" to save space ?, the A99 is going to be mounted on top off a 4 elememt yagi beam :confused:
