Hi all. I'm new to the forum and found this site while trying to find a fix for my radio.
I decided to connect up my Presiden Lincoln the other day and was quite surprised to find that it no longer functioned as it did when I last used it a few years ago.
The radio receives well but no longer transmits any audio, although I am measuring power out of the radio on am/fm into my swr/power meter.
The tx indicator lights up when i key the mic, but no modulation is registered when the meter is set to MOD. The roger beep is registering on the rf meter and the modulation meter.
I have checked the mic, using a multimeter to check continuity of the connections on the 5 pin plug to the switch inside the mic and could'nt find a broken wire (which is what i was hoping it was going to be). I hope to find a professional in my area that can repair the radio, but in the meantime anyone elses ideas would be greatly received.
Thanks in advance , Nick.

unfortunately i don't have a spare.. :( but i re-tested the mic today with the multimeter. all connections to the pins in the plug from the slider switch inside the mic are good, unless the actual speaker itself has somehow broken the mic seems to be ok. could anything else inside the radio be causing the problems.? (thats probably a silly question)
the channel/tune dial was also a bit vague, turning but not actually changing the frequency, but this seems to have improved with use over the last few days. neither of these problems existed the last time the radio was used a few years back.....
