i bought a 1903 turkish mauser on gunbroker a few years ago. when it arrived at my ffl, the box was crinkled and the stock was broke in half right at the pistol grip. i filed a claim with usps for the $100 insurance value and they denied it. screw usps. i use fedex for all my shipping needs anymore.

yup, mack is right. you can buy mausers for more, but i like to buy the shooters. but yes, usps denied the claim stating that shipping a firearm with them was illegal to start with? i just let it drop, didn't seem to be worth the hassle.
