OH when TV was Real

Oh yeah ... another old guy trying to remember what it was like in ,"the good old days." Look... I'm probably older than you, and I remember "I love Lucy," and the Ed Sullivan Show, and whatever. But what is the point of looking back ? The past is the past. Every day I listen to the "Geriatric Channel" out of Florida talking about how great things were in the 50s. Who cares... that was over 50 years ago, and it's not coming back. As old as I am, I still live my life for today and tomorrow, not yesterday. As far as I'm concerned, just about everything we have today is better than it was years ago, and if you're someone who's stuck in the past... then I'm truly sorry for you.

Mock the past if you'd like, but the world was a much better place "back then". Look at the typical family today vs then and how about the kids of today vs the respectful kids from back in the day. Sure, technology has gotten much better today than back in the day, but at what cost? The way things are today is the biggest contributing factor to our declining society.

What a grouchy old man. No one was trying to live in the past. He was just saying how he liked the old show. I love classic rock and roll from the '70s and '80s but that does not mean I am trying to live in the past. It just means that I have better taste in music than those that listen to the CRAP recorded today. :D

Couldn't have said it better myself. You give him one first.

I agree 100%. Sure times may have been a bit tougher when trying to get ahead ( although lately I'm not so sure) but values were a lot different and better back then.
