The current specs are less than what is listed in the spec sheet you posted. It no longer has MW and LW receive as touted earlier, plus the street price jumped a C Note.

Last word from potential resellers was that it is still stuck in engineeering.

I guess it just depends on who you listen to. That radio has been 'in the works' for a couple of years. Just after the little hand-helds 'caught-on', there was a lot of 'hoopla' about it, "pre-orders" were taken, and then it sort of fizzled out. I'm afraid I'll believe it when I see it, you know?
If the 'mobile' radio is anything like their HT, then I think it'll be a very nice radio. And if they don't get too greedy, they'll sell a bunch of them.

at this economy why spend 5x more for a name brand radio ? check out 409shop.com gr8 deals. i was looking forward to that tri band 2m/220mhz/70cm mobile but since its "stuck in engineering" forget it

your right i slept on the thought lastnight and decided to try either a Yaesu FT-60r or Yaesu FT-270r

I had the FT60R for 3+ years sold it recently. Very good Handheld for the price! I guess all this chinease junk just irks me sometimes.

man i screwed up. there was one on ebay today for 120+17 shipping. here in cali. iv been counter offering but it sold i can always buy one brand new, tho i am trying to save a few bones.
