Par for the course.

I worked in that industry and managed numerous airport checkpoints for 18 years. I helped oversee the transition to the TSA at a major Chicago airport. Their hiring practices are biased to say the least. As a result they hire some pretty unsavory characters with minimal brain activity.

I also know for a fact that a "large number" of the first wave hired at the another Chicago airport were found to have criminal backgrounds after they were already on the job. This was a major mistake made by a certain Govt agency who did the background checks.

Do ya feel safe? Well do ya? I still fly knowing that the illusion the TSA presents at the front door of the airport only makes people think we're safer. Ever wonder what goes on at all the other entrances to the commercial AOA and FBO? Believe me..you don't want to.
