Here's an area of privacy not connected to Gov. My dad has a Cadilac Escalade. He said one day he locked his keys in the car and they called Onstar and the lady told them to wait a couple minutes and they would unlock it. Before that happened they found the extra key got in and drove off. Pretty soon a voice came over the speaker that the car was moving and wondering if they found the keys. They just answered back and said yes.My dad said he began thinking about it and wondered what's to stop them from listening to your conversations when they want to ? That you would never know as everything is done through the radio speaker. That's a wierd feeling !

If your PC has a soundcard and mic, it has been discovered long ago that hackers can turn on the mic and stream the audio...

After Bush is done with Google, he will claim he can do the same...and that web cam, same thing with always on high speed ;)

Do YOU not have to establish the connection first? I know what OnStar is but not exactly how the connection takes place.I thought you had to make the connection TO them and not the other way around except when requested by the police. The way I see it it is no differant than the already hundreds of ways people can find out things about you. What about the bank teller that has ALL your account info in front of him/her.They have all the info they need to bleed you dry. That is where we just have to trust people in those positions and why bonding is an issue for some of those places.

Nothing and they do!!!

They can monitor your speed, etc AND THEY CAN REPORT IT TO AUTHORITIES IF THEY WANT TO! (They are a huge privacy risk)

No way to tell when they are listening UNLESS THEY TALK!!

Best thing to do is totally disable that spying crap if its in your car,ITS MORE OF A COMPROMISE (To your privacy) THAN ITS WORTH!!! (ESPECIALLY NOW!!)

You can carry this tin foil hat stuff as far as you want to go with it. If you own any kind or type of cell phone, they can triangulate your position.

You have to do like some people have done and go "totally off the grid" and live in the woods somewhere and be self sufficient.

That's what happened to GLR, he's off the grid under the assumption of banning.

I just ordered the gps jammer that plugs into a cigarette lighter ill see how well this bogus stuff works.

Sent from Outerspace, on the DarkSide of X.
