If you're looking for a program to generate a tone from a mic input closure then I can't help.

I use DM780 that comes with Ham Radio Deluxe. I change the sound card to line in. I use a straight key and the program decodes my keying. I hear the tones from the radio with the monitor function. Its a great tool for practice, it helps me get the spacing correct.

I was not able plug the key straight into the pc line in so i bought a Japanese practise keyer has a built in tone takes a d cell battery.

lol, I can buy another if i wanted. Yes the 7000 has side tone and many other functions.
