It is. When my grandpa died in 1986, his two daughters wasted no time getting to his house and taking anything they wanted, regardless of what the will entitled them. In a bit of irony, my grandpa married his 3rd wife 11 months before he died....she worked as a waitress and lived in a run down old house and her kids were drug addicts...she only married him for his home and he didn't see it...in the will it stated the house was to be sold and the money divided amongst my two aunts, my dad and his brother....however right after his death, my grandpa's widow's kids decided to try and move into my grandpas now vacant home, only to find my aunts already there going thru his stuff....long story short, that turned into a legal battle which my aunts won, but the money my grandpa had set aside for his kids sits in a trust fund until the window dies and then it gets released to my dad, his brother, and both of my dad's sisters...on the good side the money has accumulated interest over the years so everyone will probably get 5 times more than they would have gotten all those years ago.
