Here is a number for Ranger Communications mobile phone shop in Chula Vista ca. it is the exact same civic address as RCI so if it is not the correct number it should get you in the door to someone that can pass your call down the hall.

I called that number today. The dude told me that Chip @ Radio Shop Supply is the sole warranty repair center.

There is a whole crap load of shops that do RCI repair according to their site. I see that the radio shop supply is on the list.

I wanted to send it to the dude south of Chicago. When asked, he said they used to have several shops that did warranty work, but they ceased business with all except Radio Shop Supply in California.
Whether this was accurate info, I don't know. I haven't used Ranger warranty service for close to 3 years.

When I bought my 29702n from Cop--- it was all messed up. I sent it to RCI service in California, They did a great job with it.

I got my RA# today. Turns out, RSS is the only game in town for warranty repairs. I'll ship it out this Friday when I'm in the big town. I explained the issues in great detail, including input from V3AES and shockwave from the other thread.

I had a great experience with rci repair shop. They are the only place that does warranty work. I was told many radio shops do and say they are warranty shops...from what rci told me that is BS
They fixed my radio and had it back to me in a couple weeks....after it sat with an "expert" for two months without any work being done. If you get half as good a service on yours as I did you will be happy.

Duster I have had excellent results with Radio Shop Supply in Ramona Ca. Chip even called me on the phone to make sure of what I was complaining about, guess it took a few hours of being on for my problem to happen. Great repair shop for Ranger and RCI radios. 5 Stars in my book
He certainly doesn't grasp the issue of spurs and harmonics into a dummy load. Kinda scares me a little.
