Are these still popular radio's or did they just not go over well. I don't hear much about them any more.

Ok I was just curious, a local just bought one from a guy on the west coast that imports them in small batches. Sounds pretty good on the air but you just never see them for sale. I guess E-Bay now boots them from auctions.

I just heard one today on SSB 11m. Sounded OK and stable. I was pleasantly surprized due to all the negativity. What more could you want? (besides longevity and repair-ability).

I've had one in my mobile for about a year and a half now, still works great, I usually talk skip to the UK, Ireland or Italy on my way to work in the morning, no amp just the radio and a Wilson 5000 on the roof. Version 6 board. I had one of the first Max 10 whatever that one was, with the RF Rain control LOL.
