still have mine I bought new in the 80's. both the adjustment tabs broke off years ago.
never saw a white one though. did they come that way? mine is brown.

As I said I could have been wrong... To be honest I got them in the mid 80's and I was much younger so they could have been that much but I really don't think so. I know my father purchased them and he was a cheap sob like me...

Edit: I googled to see if there were any old ads out but nothing came up... see now you have me wondering...
