Optima mic wiring diagram (colors)

Does anyone know the color code for the stock mic? I have an mk3 and have been using after market microphones bid like to wire up the original.

I have the mic connections but not sure what color wires they match up to.

1 mic input - wire color?
2 +8v DC - wire color?
3 freq up/dn - wire color?
4 NC
5 PTT - wire color?
6 Ground (PTT) - wire color?
7 Ground (mic) - wire color?
8 NC

No audio. Hmmmm. Key up and channels work but no audio.

Well, I didn't really want to go back to the stock mic but wanted it ready to go.

I've been using a cobra BlueTooth headset that works with my cell phone and radio. Sounds as good as any mic I've ever used. Completely blown away.

nothing to be lost about,,, I posted up the exact wiring and colors used with the mk3 power mic,,

optima mk3 uses the same wiring as most icom 8 pin radios

ya i just saw it guess it worded different
mic input = audio?
ptt= tx im sure
ground ptt=???
ground mic=???
never wired a radio with 2 grounds or shields . never had a icom. only 8 pin radio
i got is my ar3500 but a mic already came wired with it..lol

Not a good idea to rely on the color of a mike wire. Manufacturers often use different colors if they run out of a particular color/gauge for whatever reason. That's when good eyes and a good continuity checker can save the day. Oh - and good notes.

While we are on this does anyone know the mic wiring for a CR577 for this radio... Wont this radio power the mic and no 9v is needed?
