Have you ever had a friend of a friend of a friend say … I know a guy who has this or that for sale. Well it was one of those times when I had a friend/associate said he knew a guy who had an old CB radio for sale that was fairly expensive back in the day. Ok being the inquisitive person that I am… they got my attention so I pushed a little to get the information and after about a week amazingly I was given a phone number. The end results is a $75 HR2510 in very nice condition that is now mine. This isn’t the deal I got a few years back on a 2510 but In think $75 is a good deal.
This one I am going to send to the “DOC” and have him go through it and put it in my wife’s car so when we take trips it will be the “CB” of choice. Life is good!!!

Nice find! I'm sure The Doc will take care of it! Should be one mean radio when you get it back. Used to have one and kick myself in the rear for ever selling it! Almost bought one last year at a ham fest in Michigan. Again kicking myself in the butt for that! Enjoy that rsdio and happy dx'ing! God bless.

I bought one that had been used about 6 months ago and paid the seller's asking price of $180.00 with out hesitation. It had the chip switch already. You have a good deal on that one.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
