Cobra 1000

I have a cobra 1000 in excellent cond. with one speaker and a cobra coffin mic also in excellent cond. If you know the 1000 it is the am only brother to the cobra 2000. no extra channels no mods and I don't think it has ever been tuned up, It works nice but for it's age it should be cleaned and tuned (inside) by a teck. the meters stick I see you can still but replacements. I was going to sill it and wondering what it is worth. with a little work it could be a nice collector piece. I won't be keeping it. was going to sell or trade for a mobil with SSB maby a 148 gtl etc. Whats it worth ? I don't remeber seeing to many of these The wood cabs on it are beautyful.

I had one of these and its a decent rig but is really nothing but a 29gtl in a big box. I think I paid $100 for it new in the 80's so mayby still $100 used?

One of my locals sold his on eBay a couple of years ago and he got around $100.00 for it. I don't think there is a big demand for these AM only radios.
