I had a nice conversation with 490 Curlyjo today on 27.385 moving to 27.405.

I was on my GainMaster and Curlyjo was on his Larry 150 an old version of the Sigma 4 in the LA area of California.

We talked about some old times, among other things, and he told me about his new 3 element Quad project going up soon.

I'll be looking to touch base with him soon on his new antenna. His old L150 was talking over everybody around with a very good 5/9> signal, clear as a bell, and right on frequency.

Thread title caught me off guard.

I know. Out here a hookup usually means something way different. About three years ago I bought a Sigma 4 type antenna off of LA Craigslist. I really did not know exactly what I had. Nor did the seller. I sought help from Marconi via PM. He ID it and sent me the proper dimensions. The rest is history. I heard him call out out yesterday. Knowing who he was I called back to Him. We had good conditions from Corpus Christi TX to my place out here in So. CA. How cool is that! Finally talked to the guy that help me dial in my old antenna. If interested I wrote a post about my antenna and put up a YouTube video showing it up and blowing in the wind. LW 150 Sigma 4 clone. BYW Mudfoot I still run your 99v2 in a big truck. Thanks for that radio. Mudfoot: trusted seller! 73's

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes

Wes, it's better if you start a thread on the main forum, more people are going to see your question.
