I am looking for a CB radio repair shop that can work on a Magnum S-9.

I have an Magnum S-9 and when you first turn it on it goes from 27.185 to 24.440 until it warms up a bit and then it goes back to 27.185. Every now and then for the first 30 minutes to an hour if the truck leans to the right like in a curve it will change back to 24.440 and when the truck sits back up straight it will come back to 27.185. Every once in a while it will go to like 26.665 or something like that and you can tap the bottom of the radio and it will straighten back up. it's almost like a loose wire or something, idk?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

All correct so far, DTB hates Magnum radio's so you don't want to send it to him. Bob's CB is outstanding but no taking mail in repairs right now. Here are several places.

1) Custom CB Radio http://customcbradios.com/

2) Key CB shop

3) Authorized Magnum Repair shop

they suck!!!!! back when I was getting high I would sell them radios I "acquired" and they would still buy them knowing where they came from, but to each his own I guess

Mountain View Electronics in Tennessee evidently is not doing anything. I tried to call but their number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.

Thanks but I sent it to Brian Smith at Trucks CB Sales & Repair in Glasgow, KY. He found a bad ground and fixed it for me and then shipped it back to me for all for just under $60. You can find Brian here on his facebook page,

There's another guy who is a friend of mine that sales and repairs also down in TN his name is Chad Jolley he does really good work to and you can find him here,

Either Brian or Chad will do you right!

Which Magnum S9 do you have ?..
The one with the 1969 finals in them are sweet radios when setup right..

10 years ago I picked up a mint 1969 final S9 that had been set up by Bob's CB. It even had a sweet 30 second watergate recorder installed with tiny buttons on the side. It was a superb talker, the Top Guns worked like they should (Bob's always gets this right), and the recorder played back clean and clear. Like a dummy I sold it.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
