I havnt messed with 2m or 6m since getting my ticket...i don't care much for close ragchew unless its miles away or dx...should I get into ssb? Or what's 6m like? I like long distance or should I just skip all this and get my general?

You need to get your general ticket, there is very little "DX" on 2/6 unless there is a rare opening. A simple wire dipole and 100watts you can work the world on HF.

If all you want is DX then forgot all about 2m or 6m and go get your general ticket as you have been told before. 2m SSB is very sparse and is not really DX. Sure a few hundred miles and rarely somewhat further but you need a fairly large yagi at a decent height and it MUST me horizontal. For 6m a small three element yagi is half decent but larger is markedly better but openings are unpredictable and often last about 10 minutes. Sometimes in the summer openings may last hours however. Again, unpredictable. Get your general at least.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
